Why come along?
We know that the next 5 years are critical to getting policies and practices in place to secure the climate. Women are rising here and internationally in ever increasing numbers to take their full and rightful place in decision making to create a safe future for their children and grandchildren, and to usher in a policy shift towards compassion, kindness, care and nurture of all Earth Life.
This is an opportunity to share with others your thoughts, ideas and aspirations and to look at ways of breathing life into the Charter at the local level – or to get involved in the national and international work of the WCC.

Women leading united action on climate change
‘Road Show’
‘This Charter is a call to action from the hearts of women, in all our diversity, to urgently secure the climate and build ongoing human and planetary wellbeing. To this end we urge collaboration, And cooperation in governance to build inclusive,. Fair and untied policy approaches’
[WCC Charter for Change, Opening Statements]
We know that the next few years are critical to get policies in place to secure the climate for the younger and future generations. Women are mobilising globally in ever increasing numbers to take their full and rightful place in decision making to create a safe future of their children and grandchildren, and to usher in a policy paradigm shift towards compassion, kindness, care and nurture of all Earth Life.
WCC is ‘breathing life’ into our WCC Charter for Change through a ‘Road Show’ of women’s circles across the country.
To encourage conversations and action in local communities we are holding interactive gatherings facilitated by members of the WCC Steering Circle and/or other local members, to introduce the Charter and invite participants to reflect on how women, individually or collectively, and in their local communities, can lead and participate in Charter-aligned actions.
We hope that these events will empower women to develop their own cultural, social, artistic, economic or operational responses.
These events are open to women, in all our diversity, and from all walks of life and political views.
A reflection on women’s circles from our 2020 inaugural gatherings
On 20 Jan 2020 a young man came to our inaugural gathering to record the meeting and take photos. He was surprised to see the women seated in a circle. The morning after he wrote about what he had witnessed:
Sitting on the outside of the circle, privileged to, I saw the genius of the format. Women facing in to solve the/a problem.
