Run every 3 years since 2007, Women Deliver is one of the world's most significant gatherings focused on gender equality, women’s leadership and social justice. The 2026 conferece in Naarm, Melbourne was attended by over 6000 participants from 189 countries.

WCC was proud to bring together of delegation of our members, and close allies, who we were able to support with access to community-priced tickets and, in some cases, support for travel. These delegates contributed to many sessions and workshops and we heard from several sources that ‘the WCC seems to be everywhere’.

What stood out was the growing recognition that climate action and gender equality are inseparable. We heard inspiring stories from First Nations women, Pacific leaders, young activists and community changemakers who are already creating solutions in their communities.

There was also a powerful call for women to come together across all our diversity to help shape a climate-just future. That message strongly reinforced the purpose of the Women's Climate Congress.

The group also set up a ‘Climate Hub’ pavilion at the heart of the exhibition pace at the confererence. This hub has a full program of events running throughout the conference.
As members of the Feminist Climate Collective (FeCC)- a group of women-led organisations working at the interface of climate justice and gender equality (feminist just transition), the Women’s Climate Congress participated in a number of these events.

This consultation was further explored in a workshop event ‘From Women Deliver to COP31’, which WCC Founder and Program Lead, Janet Salisbury co-facilitated with Alice Ridge from International Women’s Development Agency. This event was attended by the Hon Kate Thwaites MP (Special Envoy for Climate Adaptation and Resilience), and other members of the Australian Government Department of Climate Change.
